·· Sport Massage ··
Sport Massage is based on the Swedish, or classic massage. It uses some of the same techniques but tends to be deeper and more intense, and focuses on movement (pushing against therapist), more communication and less relaxation to get a no-nonsense massage treatment. Sports massages are good for athletes who find that exercise cause buildup of lactic acids in the muscles, which the massage can dislodge and replace with fresh oxygenated blood. Not only sports people opt for this treatment as it also aims to stretch tight muscles, stimulate inactive muscles and improve soft tissue condition. Sports massages are taken regularly, before a sports event (warm-up and enhance circulation) and after (reducing muscle spasms and metabolic build-up) and during rehabilitation.
